It is basic department of the degree course and it is concerned with microbiology and fermentation technology of food and covers  7 subjects of 21 credits

In emerging scenario, the Food Microbiology & Safety department provides sufficient knowledge about food safety, preservation, Storage techniques and bioprocessing.

The prime objective of this department is to encourage the students all those aspiring for admissions to premier insituions in food technology areas.
