STUDENT READY-Industrial Tour-I & II 


          As a part of course curriculum of B. Tech. Food Technology, the education tour I & II each of 1 to 2 weeks is arranged four students of Ii & III year, respectively. The students are suppose to visit the different food industries such as Fruit & Vegetable, Bread & Bakery, Confectionery, Snacks, Milk & Dairy, Meat & Fish, Non Alcoholic Beverages processing industries as well as Research Institutes & Govt. Aided Educational Institutes.

The project on creation of infrastructural facilities during VII Semester of B. Tech. Food Technology for experiential learning (Hands-on-Training) is sanctioned by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI),Government of India, New Delhi with financial outlay of Rs.69,86,535/-. The objectives of this project are:

  1. To impart hands on experience on production, processing and marketing of processed value added food products.
  2. To create innovativeness, creativity,on commercial food processing.
  3. To develop entrepreneurship and confidence about food processing.

Following small scale processing lines are purchased

1   RTS bottling/canning unit 20 to 30 Kg/hr. 

2   Tutty Fruity  & Papaya processing unit 50 Kg/hr.

3   Potato & Banana processing unit 50 Kg/hr.

4   Amala processing unit 25 to 30 Kg/hr.
