As a part of course curriculum of B. Tech. Food Technology, the education tour to South India, North India and Maharashtra State is organized every year to visit food industries which help the students to upgrade their practical knowledge.
The project on creation of infrastructural facilities during VII Semester of B. Tech. Food Technology for experiential learning (Hands-on-Training) is sanctioned by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MOFPI),Government of India, New Delhi with financial outlay of Rs.69,86,535. The objectives of this project are:
- To impart hands on experience on production, processing and marketing of processed value added food products.
- To create innovativeness, creativity,on commercial food processing.
- To develop entrepreneurship and confidence about food processing.
To create knowledge about industrial recourse and time management.
